Eco-Efficient. BioGas has its greatest economic use when combusted directly into usable energy (such as in a boiler for the generation process steam, heat and hot water), but a second primary use, and most common on farms and by many food/beverage processing plants, is conversion of the BioGas into electricity, using a BioGas fuel generating unit. Such units may run constantly or intermittently.
