Samuel West Stewart
Executive Vice-President, Co-Founder

Since 1998, West Stewart has been the President of Philippine Bio-Sciences Co., Inc. (PhilBIO), and the Chairman of Clean Energy Development Company (Thailand) Ltd. (CleanTHAI). He is Managing Director of ABC’s parent company, Silk Roads, Ltd. (USA).  He is a former investment banker with Merrill Lynch Tokyo, and Nikko Securities Chicago Branch (now part of Citibank).  

As an electric power project developer with Mitsubishi Corporation (MC Group), West executed the marketing and financial plans for several combined cycle natural gas power plant projects in Latin America in the early 1980s, and initiated the alternative energy portfolio for the MC Group, including R&D agreements for advanced battery storage systems, flue gas desulphurization and solar photovoltaic cell technologies. 

West holds a Masters degree in International Management (MIM) from American Graduate School of International Management (‘Thunderbird’), Phoenix, Arizona; and a Bachelor of Arts degree from The George Washington University, Washington, D.C
