2000 – CleanThai established in Thailand to develop biogas project

2002 – Thailand’s first Build Own Operate Transfer biogas project starts in Korat

2003 – Thai Biogas Energy Co Ltd (TBEC) formed by CleanThai with private equity backing

2005 – Asia Biogas Co Ltd established with investment from Trading Emissions plc

2010 – Asia Biogas reorganized under Asia Biogas Singapore holding company

2011-12 – Following a collapse in the carbon market, Asia Biogas focused on Thailand and Indonesia but withdrew from Philippines, Malaysia and Vietnam and divested its minority interest in TBEC

2013 – Oscar Energy acquired Asia Biogas in a management buyout

2015-16 – Asia Biogas completed new biogas to power projects in Krabi, Thailand and Malang, Indonesia

2017-18 – Asia Biogas acquired a controlling interest in TBEC which owned 7 BOOT biogas projects

2019 – TBEC completed first Compressed Biomethane Gas project in Rayong, Thailand and successfully concluded a debt restructuring
